Roadmap watch: new search, video filters and large meetings in Teams delayed

When checking out the M365 I found out that there were some changes wort mentioning.

New Search Experience in Teams

A new search experience in Teams will make finding messages, people, answers, and files faster and more intuitive. A redesigned search results page provides better context and faster results, with AI-powered relevance based on the people and content you engage with most in Teams and other Microsoft 365 services.

The New Search Experience has been delayed to June 2021. Previously this was set to release in this month but as always – roadmap is a but a best guess and estimate when the release could happen. This big change in such a late notice is however an indicator that it is not a small issue they have encountered in testing. Roadmap.

Large meeting support aka “1k meetings”

Hold interactive meetings with more attendees—up to 1,000.

Large interactive meetings, also known as 1000 participant meetings, are delayed from December to January 2021. This kind of small changes in the schedule are very much expected and it is good the large meeting is tested well before the release. Roadmap.

Video filters

Before joining a meeting, you can use the filters to subtly adjust lighting levels and soften the focus of the camera to customize your appearance

This was shown at the Microsoft Ignite 2020 sessions. It is a good to be able add some final touches to your video before joining the meeting. We need to wait for April 2021 to get this one. Roadmap.
